More info:

The club will continue to run indoors and week to week until the 15th/16th September, when Elite Sabre Coaching Limited will be handing back session bookings to the Club Committee. The MX website is being updated and will be back online soon.  We will be offering a variety of different sessions to cater for all ages and levels of experience. Beginners, that includes you! Own Mask, Glove and Sword minimum is recommended (but can be loaned) as well as a personal yoga mat and first aid kit.

On the day and before the session begins, all fencers will need to complete an online pre-session health check, which can be found here. This is for the coach to be informed, but also so that contact details can be passed on to UK Government Test and Trace, should it become necessary. We recommend reading this before the day itself.

It is now a requirement that everyone taking part is a member of British Fencing (free introductory memberships are available

It is possible to buy tickets for multiple options on the next page (eg. Fitness, Main Session or Lesson; Main Session, Lesson, Adult Beginner's Class; Fitness, Lesson during fitness session, etc)

Please arrive 'fencing ready' (ie in breeches or in cycling shorts under tracksuit bottoms) and try to use the toilet before you leave for the session. Parents/Guardians will still not be able to stay in the venue and will be expected to wait in the car park.

There will be hand sanisiter disinfectant wipes at entry/exit points, but we do prefer that fencers bring their own hand sanitiser with them. Fencers will no longer be asked to wear a face mask or face shield during the session.

The club will be following BFA guidelines and there will be a comprehensive update to the risk assessment as well as processes and procedures put in place to reduce risk as much as possible. These will be relayed to you via a 'Session Briefing' sent out as an email, but also available on the website here.

The situation is constantly being updated, but you should expect the session to be different to your previous experience of a fencing night. Fencing time is likely to be reduced and the intensity may be less than you are used to. The coaches will do their best to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable and active night.

If all tickets have been sold, please email to be added to the waiting list, which will also give you priority access to tickets the following week.

Club fees remain suspended. Please ensure that you have cancelled your standing order. Payment for these sessions will be taken upfront when you book, but refunds will be immediately issued if the session is cancelled or if the fencer does not clear the pre-session health check. These may take up to 5 working days to return to your bank account. Please do not pay using BACS or any other method.

If you are keen to resume fencing in some form, but aren't comfortable returning to a fencing club night (even an adjusted one) just yet, then please contact Phil at and he will be able to help.
